I've started channels 4 & 5 now too.

I'm on often enough, If you are willing to play a game, pm me and I can get you into a separate Channel, which I'll setup for ongoing games. We'll just let you stay there until there's enough to play a game, and off you go.

Be aware though, once you're game is done, you will be evicted, so the network doesn't clog up.

Kicking offline players off the hamachi network sounds good, could make it useful for matchmaking. there only needs to be one guy who cleans up all the day^^ But I agree that IRC and this board would be the best ways to team up.

Arr, I be a dumbass.  I bought windows 7 today (hooray for student 40$ deals), and did a clean install.  Problem being, Hamachi still recognizes that Vista installation as the admin of networks 3-5.  So as of today, they're unmoderated.  I might open up 6 or 7 as 5 fills.

After having problems finding a game i've decided to create a network for a specific timezone.

The network I made is for CET/GMT timezones.

Networkname: "AI War:CET1"

There is no password or join request.
Let me know if there are any problems.

Note that Hamachi is in no way a "part" of AI War itself.  It's simply something that players are accustomed to using for their own personal purposes for a wide variety of games (Age of Empires III, to my recollection, was unplayable over direct connect with any other method).  Given the familiarity of these, many companies recommend using Hamachi or another personal VPN client (I personally use Leaf Networks at the moment), for when players have trouble configuring their port forwarding.

Hello,
I wonder if it will be beneficial to have a Hamachi network of 256 slots?
Currently, with only 16 slots and the number of persons not connected... It is not easy to find players :(

I could create channels of 256 slots but would know if it would be really useful? :)

My opinion is this:
Its great to have a ton of random people on a hamachi server.
Except.
None of them talk to each other. Guys a, b, e, f, y, and z can all be playing AI war, and might even want to play a multiplayer game together. Unfortunately, short of chatting to every single other guy on the list 'hey wanna play?' even ctrl v'ing it to everyone might take a  while.

What we require, and I've probably mentioned it somewhere else, is a unified chat server that /anyone/ playing AI war has access to. While your game is open, your connected to the chat (naturally, on/off buttons, ignore buttons, yada yada.) There needs to be a way so that people playing games can talk to each other. IRC is great and all, but still requires people to have another program open just to run IRC..
From how I understand it, IRC shouldnt be that hard to put into a game, so.. Make an IRC channel of some sort (hell, use the rtsnet one) and put an irc-ish client into AI war.
