Hmm, really?  I've just sorta avoided those planets I guess(perhaps it was because you can't scrap).

Further thought, what about making them sorta super distribution nodes.  If you take the planet and scrap it, for some ai cost(say ~10-20), you get a large amount of minerals and crystal, as an alternate choice to repairing it.

you can't scrap a golem(currently) , but i bet either X or Keith will allow Golems To be Scrapable , but , what? super distrubition nodes as golems? are you trying to make Golem Races just because they give a giant resource boost upon scrap?

also , i don't see whats so bad about golems , the increased AI reinforcements and AI waves can be dealed with , since you are more likely to bump into a broken golem late in the game , and i never Even Attempt to Scrap Golems , only repair them , but whatever floats your boat , i guess.

use up your golems (solo clear up mk 4 planets) and let them die but use them to do something before they do die

if used properly and advancedly , it can wipe out the ENTIRE galaxy , provided the AI doesn't get mad and [stuff] and gets a golem of its own , and the Galaxy i am talking about is 120 Planet

well, if you don't want high waves and wants to use up your golems, you can strategic raid planets instead of solo charge, but i remember using golems for core command station is the best.
