Well, that was quick... AI 10 quick discuss
« on: February 14, 2012, 10:19:05 pm »
So I cranked up an AI10/10 war vs. Vanilla and Mine Enthusiast.  Nothing important in the options, but a 40 planet map with Maws as my personal unit.

I spend the first hour doing heavy scouting and figuring out my plan while I neuter a Mk IV next door to the homeworld and get some raids built.  All four Co-Processors are within two jumps of my home system and there's a pair of ARS's 3 out.  As I'm debating where I want to go first I pop all four of the Co-Processors, giving me a reasonable floor to work with.  It was a timing challenge to get all four between waves but I was able to.

4 worlds out is a Dyson, and there's 4 worlds further in that's tough for me to get scouts to.  I neuter a bunch of tachyons between me and it and deal with waves.  I get scouts on it and it starts chewing on the locals for me.

About 1:20/1:30 in I decide the Dyson's done enough housecleaning, it's time to turn him to my side.  I transport my Raid I/IIs in starships about half way there via cloakers and the transports make the rest of the run on their own, since I really hadn't cleared all the tachyons yet.  The raids get there and I pop the Cmd Station and then run away from the 20+ neutral Dysons chasing me down, while working the local guardposts down so the AI Eye will die.

Well, I get about halfway done and decide I need to explore some more.  I need to get supply on that world so I can use the Fabricator Mk V and the Ion V.  I ship my scouts down to the Dyson and begin exploring... and there's a core world with 2000 units on it already.  Oh lord.

I finish exploring and apparently trigger a cockroach spawner.  Somewhere back on my lone homeworld, someone noticed this on the radar and forgot to tell the commander.  Must have thought it was an impossible glitch.

So, as I'm looking at the next raid warning 1500 cockroach Vs pour into my home system... and inhale the homeworld.

Yowzas!  That's a loss!    :D
... and then we'll have cake.

They'd better be able to survive a nuclear explosion.

Perhaps the pre 3.0 raid starships need to return? (please no)
