If threat+attack isn't 5+ digits, it hasn't gotten serious yet ;)

Defender mode is probably not very balanced, not many people play it.

It certainly is not if you grab too many planets. Then the AI gives up on things like 'timers' and 'waiting' and just runs you over immediately.

I made a second attempt!

The main highlights are:

04:40.  I should be more careful about which buildings I scrap...
17:30.  The game nearly crashes.
28:05.  The Mesepad system falls.
33:10.  The battle is decided.  The rest is detail.

"...But speaking of which, where are the space trains?"

No seriously.  I was insane enough to play with the space trains, yet they never showed up!  I am sad :(

Also I was given a lot of resources starting out.  I could of spent hours carefully arranging turrets and mines...
