But, while you can stop the game, you can't stop the updates from starting it all over again.

Please do.  I want to pop a bunch of carriers, and see the Hunter Killers/Motherships come!  :D

One more thing:  there was a minor (and apparently recoverable error) from earlier in the game.  It created an error dump folder.  I zipped up and attached the folder, in case it contains something useful for you.

And, last but not least, I believe I promised saves.  I have a lot of saves left, but two in particular come to mind:

"Ackbar's Gambit - Lag Level 2"
This save is right in the middle of a good-sized CPA hitting my beachhead.  I like to think of it as a free CPU benchmarking tool of sorts  8)

"Ackbar's Gambit Before"
This save...well, nothing is going on right when you load up.  But try and scrap control group #9 and...well...be prepared to use ctr+alt+del  >D
