Minus that one spirecraft implosion that got ruined in seconds.
It took whole seconds to arrange its totally unexpected accident in main engineering?

Here's what the galaxy looks like right now. Every planet I have except Fate has a warp jammer.

I start by looking around for where the hell my protector starships are. They're on B612.

Mobile Space Docks unlocked.

As we won't need the Superterminal, we will take it out. We don't really need to drain the reserve much, 10% really doesn't matter.

B612 is taken out. I decide to crack open the reserve while I rebuild. AIP 65.

I then throw up a quarter-cap of missile turrets there. Should be enough to deter threat.

I find out where all my resources are going - the MSDs are repairing a broken armored golem. I move them through the wormhole to the Hunter and DESYNC

*Sigh*

Fixed up.

AI Threat placement! Figures, it's mostly around Posy.

Hunter VS Barracks! Again! Microfighters scratch the MSDs' paint.

I wreck a data center. Incoming 2,000 threat.

Some oddities occur. No one wants to automatically attack some fighters, for some reason. [Note - Further inspection reveals a Radar Jammer Mk2]

I move some turrets around and immediately the AI attacks Doctor Jazz.

Dire Guardians! 2 MRLS and an infiltration. All protectors die, Hunter gets scratched.

Immediately after, we fight...more Dire Guardians. A Raider, Infiltration, and Needler. The Hunter gets roughed up because of a random Decoy, but we're done with Dire Guardians.

4:56 583 fighters incoming. And that's all for now.

Encountering a Desync is Treason, citizen! Failing to report it with a save is also Treason!

;)

More seriously, we consider those pretty close to crash-level severity, so if you have any idea on how I might reproduce it, please let me know.  It's probably related to the desync someone else reported a little while ago saying "During multiplayer the Dire Guardian countdown spawn causes a desync when it hits 1 second left".  I wasn't able to reproduce it because Treasonthere was no save attached, though it's possible it wouldn't have reproduced with a save either.

If that helps, big desync text appeared on my end exactly the same moment MSD beams connected with my HK mk5.

That could be related, yea, though desyncs are particularly tricky buggers and defy most principles of causation.

When you restarted, did you do the MSD-repairing-the-HK thing again, and it didn't have this problem?

Yeah, no problems after that.

Here's the thing.

It goes "Desync" so I save. I can't remember which save it is, though - I'll attach it to the next post if A) I find it and B) I figure out how.

The Hunter rejoins. I don't even exit the game, I don't even leave it. He just leaves and rejoins. I don't think he restarted AI War at all.

It starts back up, lags a bit, then works perfectly.

And if it helps, I got a desync error immediately after the MSDs exited the wormhole. Don't know if they started repairing the H/K.

EDIT: You know, maybe it's the save I marked as "Random Desync"...just a hunch.

Operation "Setting The Stage" In Progress.

Phase One: Threat Cleanup

The Hunter experiences a "Too many heaps" crash, according to him. Like in his AAR.

5:01 CPA declared, 928 ships.

5:05 571 missile frigates incoming, 1:30 after the CPA.

Phase Two: Capture Leporis.

Leporis is the final stepping stone to the AI homeworld Diamond Star. It has a spire archive and a Black Widow golem on it, which I'll probaby activate.

The Hunter is sent in.

Phase Three: Swat the CPA

Carriers arrive on Fenhome, Auderghoo, and All Or Nothing.

The Hunter catches up with one on Lagrand.

Another carrier goes to hang out outside the Posy wormhole.

The last one waits outside B612.

Leporis is taken out. AIP 76.

Data Center eliminated. AIP 66. All that's left is the coprocessors.

While the Spire Archive is working, the Hunter and I discover signals/flares on the map.

Later, the Hunter finds himself in range of enough enemies to fill the screen with range circles.

At this point I'm just waiting on the spire archive. The Hunter gets a pet guardian, apparently, as neither the H/K nor this Lightning Guardian will auto-attack each other.

Spire Archive finishes. Mk3 Bombers unlocked, 5,000K left. What to get?

Next time, the grand finale.

LTF spam, then load up all those torpedoes into transports, and turn said transports into a gargantuan, AIP-free bomb.

Oh wait, I suppose that'll get patched.

o.O

That... oh wow.  I need to see that in action, ~before~ it inevitably gets patched, because that sounds ~awesome~.  xD
