Just downloaded a bunch of updates (4 actually  :o)

Looking at the planning section.....is it supposed to be the case that the blue illari isn't considered a resident while the green illari is a resident?

By the way I absolutely love the unlockables digest section. It gives a real sense of having a plan and having goodies in sight. I feel like a kid in a candy store. :D

The green one actually shouldn't be considered a resident either, we just need to fix that -- would be good for mantis if you have a chance, actually.

Glad you're liking the unlockables and so forth -- I had hoped that would provide a lot more direction for folks that want it, while still retaining choice. :)

I thought it was pretty cool that the illari were considered a resident actually.

It makes sense, they're sentient beings. They don't ever seem to leave the settlement. Why shouldn't they be considered a citizen? If they live in the settlement, doesn't that make them residents?

The stone is an inanimate object through which the Ilari talk to you.  One stone is the same as the next, by color -- all green stones, anywhere in the world, are talking to the same guy.

Oh really? I always thought the illari will like sentient magic stones. :P

By "talking to the same guy" does that mean there are only 6 illari? (one for each element)

Well, there are six Ilari that are guardians that help you.  There are also neutral Ilari, fallen Ilari, and dark Ilari.   The neutral ones you tend to meet in caves, and you never know quite who you're talking to on the other end of those.  The fallen ones aren't really in the game in a way that you can encounter at the moment, but the dark Ilari's influence can be seen in The Deep (though you don't see them directly, or even their stones).

That is very disappointing. I really liked the idea of talking to magic floating sentient rocks.

I don't know if they're magical or float, but the Spire are sentient rocks.

Do they come in a variety of colors too? I've always imagined them sort of a quarts color.

I wanted them to, but at the time we couldn't do transparent crystalline stuff in anything like a reasonable timeframe, so we went with the pearl ships.
