Quick question RE starting Light spells

Hey,

Just a quick question for the devs, if they've got the time: why was energy burst chosen as the starting Light element ranged spell as opposed to the Plasma whatchamacallit?
It's just carriers all the way down!

Energy pulse has been around longer, mainly.  But it's also an interesting spell because it pierces the background, which is something we wanted to introduce to players early -- rather than having all six of the basic spells be basic recolors of the same idea (boooring! And new players might not trust that there is more interesting stuff lurking later), we wanted to instead show off at least a little bit of what the various options are.  It's still pretty limited, but not as much as it could be.

The only downside is that it's useless on battlegrounds since it hits the background but cannot pierce anymore...

I thought this was going to be a thread about how now that there's no emit light spell, the tutorial mission is nigh impossible!
