Thanks for the congrats, all!
We're definitely really relieved and excited about this internally. This turned into a much longer project than intended when we set out for it, but I'm also much prouder of this than I thought I would be. I think we've hit a new level of polish on all levels with this one.
(And yeah, the screenshots and trailer on steam are both outdated right now; we're really hoping they get those up today, but at least the marketing copy and listing capsules and headers are all updated.)
I'm also really excited to finally get to finish of Shattered Haven, now that all my time isn't being consumed with Valley 2. Shattered Haven has been an off-and-on thing for me since 2008, and it's shaping up really well. Beta for that might start as soon as within the next few weeks, but we'll see. It's a bit surreal to have two giant games closing in on completion in such temporal proximity to one another, heh.
And then beyond that... we have some really cool other stuff we're cooking up for later in the year. It's been since 2010 that we worked on anything other than AI War, Valley, or Shattered Haven. And 80% of that time was spent on Valley 1 & 2 alone. So it's really exciting to be able to branch out again. I'm really looking forward to doing some games that aren't quite so huge, but that really focus on polishing some specific mechanics out the wazoo. Yay variety!
But at the moment I'm just super excited about Valley 2. Amazingly, after all these months, I still really love playing it, too, which is a great sign. That happened with me with AI War as well, but not Valley 1. I take that as a really, really good sign.
