Hmmm, he's not really supposed to be going just back and forth between two places. Do you happen to have a save of him doing that?

Also, yes, melee spells are supposed to be defensive in nature.

He didn't, I just assumed he would. What's he supposed to do?

Near as I can tell he destroys/moves towards the closest farm/clinic/factory with large enough homes being optional. 

All of the tiles that provide good food were in the same neighborhood, even my current game is like this. It seems like a lost cause to build anything near the Keep but that is exactly what the map generation seems to force you to do. I tried expanding the map but I never found any farmable tiles out there and the starvation and the resulting in-fighting that resulted even after I doubled-back safely to build new farms killed the resistance anyway.

Does Demonica target resistance members directly? Are you supposed to lure him away somehow so you can grow crops right under throne-room window?

By the way, it can be easy to miss, but it's possible to convert the ocean shallow regions into farms. So build towards those as well, there's tons more of those spaces than regular farms.

I noticed but the ocean shallow regions were right next to the Keep as well. If I had gone there first he simply would have followed me. My current game might be a tad better for this but it doesn't feel like it.

I think I know who is responsible for that slice, but, I won't say who. :)

That said, it probably should be toned down a bit. Would you mind sending me that save so I can find out what slice that is?
The slice was well done btw.  Kudos to the designer :)

Saved it in the room in question.  I don't think the trap itself was overly difficult to get through by itself.  The situation I found myself in trying to escape the research facility and wait on the blades to align was just wow (I did get it completed).  If anything, maybe, just not let that slice spawn in research facilities.

Double post, I know, I know.

This slice was fine with the old controls, is now infuriating with the new.

I'm level 6 and have access to the T2 mage classes but I do not have a spell that can deal with this room.

Actually this room highlights many problems I have currently.  Attacking anything on a down slope, POWERSLIDE oh how I HATE it.  The fact that this room is as trapped as it is, is in it self infuriating.  I just smacked down a boss.  Reward? Nope. Just 10 deaths.

Sorry for ranting. Just frustrated with this slice.

Yes, you can lure him away. :)

Hmmmm, yeah, that slice is a problem. I think I can find it without, but, if you have the world file for that one too, it may save me some time.

Hmmmm, yeah, that slice is a problem. I think I can find it without, but, if you have the world file for that one too, it may save me some time.

It is the same world as the one I added above.  I'll have to find that slice again (have to restore a backup and play a bit).

Edit: The slice was part of the windmill at (-7,-1).

Update on my current game, things are going much better than my first game of Valley 2. Not only did the clinic adjacent to the Keep miraculously remain untouched while the neighboring, and also adjacent to the keep, farm was reduced to ashes but I succeeded in securing replacement farms and farm locations further away in two different directions.  I'll chalk up my first lose to RNG luck and player inexperience.

Could dialogue added to the chat log? I've clicked too fast once or twice and felt I missed some of the games humor as result.

The new enemies sound brutal.

I'm also glad to see a shielded in front enemy, I would have been disappointed if there wasn't one.
