Two Peices Of High-Res AVWW Concept Art

I've been working on doing some new concept art today so that we'd have a better boxart image than the old one, which has been feeling embarrassingly lame lately.  Here are the first two that I've created, and I plan to do at least one more in the next week.

The second one at the moment is the one that I currently plan to use as boxart unless I come up with something better; while I do like many aspects of the first one better, the second one looks better when reduced (which, selling online, is what people see most of the time).





UPDATE: It appears that these weren't quite as ultra-high-res as I'd originally intended.  I uploaded 2200x3300 px images, and blogger sized them down substantially.  Oh well, these are still really large.

I like both of the pictures.

The first one grabs me more at first, but I think the second one represents what the game is about better.

The second one seems a little on the dark side though. I'm not sure if the different features will really stand out that well when it gets scaled down.

I like how you have things from different time periods in the picture though, the dinosaur is a neat touch too.

Very nice concept art :D

I think the first one is excellent.

The problem I have the second one is that I think the watch tower is a bit too dominant, there are so many other cool things in that picture that gets a bit suppressed with that image composition. However, the cold blue glow from within the watchtower is very cool and gives the picture a mystical feel to it.

I think it would be cool if you could capture the threat from the overlord in some concept art. Maybe the overlord keep like a towering bastion in the background casting it's shadow across the land.

I prefer the second one, but I tend to like somber, mysterious art over action-y.
