That's a shame.  A stratospheric citadel sounds like the kind of place I would want to go.

I was hoping so as well. Like, that triple jump would be the requirement because of some sick wall climbing action on the outside of the citadel, then like, you'd kick through the window and blast some monsters and stuff, I dunno. Very very cool things would happen.
Well, the poor settlement survivors need something to do.

DLC Ideas! Or just imagine the AI doing all those cool stuff and while they the Citadel is exploding, they break the glass in the cockpit, jump out and free-fall while avoiding the falling debris. Then they calmly walk up to you and go "I did what you asked, sir...but after the things I've seen... I've gotta retire.".

You, feeling compassion for this guy...and noticing he has part of the citadel lodged in his shoulder, which his daughter is currently poking as he holds her, place your hand on his other shoulder and smile at him. Then, as he puts his daughter down so she can contact the nurse, you whisper into his ear "Good job and i'd love to retire you, but we have just seen a new CItadel off the Coast of Maldune and you're the best I have.". You then stand up straight, pat his back, not knowing half of it is charred from the previous journey and point at the CItadel in the sky.

"SO GET BACK OUT THERE AND THIS TIME DO IT WITH LESS WHINING WHEN YOU GET BACK!"

...it could happen.  8)

Any chance of a sky/mountain/tower level?  I really like all of those.  Heck, I even liked the eagle forests in AVWW I because they had all those floating platforms.

Perhaps a Fortress of Winds? :)

We need to get a Booster 2.0 upgrade when we capture an ARS then.

No, that would be the Booster 0.7. You'd have to avoid the ARS and later find one of the scientists who left it to get the Booster 2.0.

You're telling me I have to leap over the ARS after it teleports into a hole?

No, you have to jump over the ARS after it crashes into Environ from the stratospheric citadel explosionificationing. it may or maynot be in a crater.

Sorry that I had to take such drastic measures but let's get back to topic.

INSUFFICIENT PI DETECTED, DISPATCHING CLOWN CAR.

Oh, of course. And then a sympathetic-to-humans skelebot comes out and awards them with the Booster 2.0 enchant.

A Stratospheric Citadel makes me think of the AVWW1 Menu screen. I would really like to visit that place in-game; it looked really cool.

Oh well, some eye candy for the NPCs I guess. They deserve it.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

That actually was the stratospheric citadel -- you can get those for your town in the first game, though its very hard. In the second game they have a more nefarious purpose. :)
