I've only played a little bit and as everyone else has said, the game is already enjoyable. That seems to be a consensus among everyone though, so congrats, you've already won in something that most game developers struggle with far after their betas are over
.
The game is also incredibly innovative and weird too though. Its strange walking into a shed and feeling like you are going into another dimension with how huge it is in the inside. The game feels very alien when you play it, like there isn't really anything familiar to hold on to. I wouldn't say this is a weakness in the sense that I'm talking about more like how the game feels than the actual mechanics, which are fairly easy to grasp.
As for the art style, I think it is definitely strong. This is more of a subjective area, but I think the art is both unique and professional, and makes the player a little more accepting of how strange the game is. My only real criticism is that there is a small tendency towards clutter in the random algorithms (IE, the player might run across a row of 10 doors all going to different parts incredibly close together, and it looks cluttered and confusing on the screen in my opinion), and that it is strange to just find potions lying on the ground (It seems to me that it'd look better if they were perhaps background items when you find them, maybe stored on a table or something).
These are just general thoughts I've had from my first impression. I'll give some more concrete things as the beta rolls along and I have a chance to see more of the game world. Great job though guys!
