I despise Bronies, leave this forum  ;)

It makes you look like a 12 year old.

I'm not a brony myself, but people who act like this are just as annoying as those who spam ponies all over the place. Let people like what they like and dislike what they dislike. There is no need to be militantly aggressive against bronies or non-bronies.

I cease to be annoying if someone stops with this moronic stuff. I do not want to be spammed with some Bronies pictures on every reply and such. I do not mind memes at all, some are really funny and I like them but Pronies were seriously just retarded. Yeah everyone has an opinion and such.

But seriously look at that crap. I am also aware that whenever I complain about it online, it only raise the awarness of this meme and only enhances it's future use. I never complained about it and ignored it but I cannot stand it anymore  ::) So I apologize if I may look rude.
Ahh, see, that's a whole different ballgame then. What you dislike isn't bronies, it's spammers. And that's something I can agree with; I don't want to see a picture on every other reply.

Being a brony, however, is something far more than just "posting pictures on the web". It's those that actually watch the show and enjoy it for what it is, not because "Well, it's a meme, so that's why I'm watching it". Whole different situation.

Wait a second, what do ponies have to do with AVVW?  Threads still tend to get sidetracked here, I guess.

In any case, welcome to the forums!

Personally, I don't understand the whole pony ... thing.  Just don't get annoying with spamming pictures and it's fine.

There was a weird ATI driver bug that caused performance in the game to drop for some people unless they had 2 youtube videos playing in the background. The videos chosen by the person who discovered the bug (Castruccio) were of My Little Pony, and ever since then it's sort of become AVWW's unofficial joke.

Well actually...

What you dislike isn't bronies, it's spammers.

Most of the time, there isn't a difference between the two.

Then you haven't actually met a serious brony.

Here's my take. While not being a brony, and, quite frankly, not understanding the fascination with MLP, it doesn't matter to me what other people like. But, if someone on the forums here starts posting pictures on ever thread, that would be annoying. But, that applies to non-bronys as well.

Other than that, there are a few posts in this thread that are, IMO, a bit harsh. Please let's try to all be civil towards everyone. No one has really crossed the line yet, but, I'd prefer to not have to worry about someone doing it. :)

Your avatar fits quite well with your post, Orelius

EDIT:
Then you haven't actually met a serious brony.
Should I be worried to meet one? Sure, I like ponies, and hell, I don't mind R34 of ponies, even if some bronies think it's the scourge of the fandom. But, IMO, they're just being immature. I suppose it's to be expected, though. But I digress, I do that a lot. I've never been to any bronycons, then again, I don't think I've ever heard of one being hosted in London, all I ever hear of is the BroNYcon. Or  smaller ones across America. Even the europeans seem to have nailed conventions.  :-\

......what in the numerous hells....?

There are CONVENTIONS about these things?   What, really?

.....just..... it...... what...... argh.

I have nothing against the show, it seems entertaining enough, what very little I've seen of it (I *really* dont watch any TV.  Period.  I'm too impatient for it), but the extreme obsession that some people get over it has always been a little.... odd, to me.

Nothing against fans of it though either, I know I have a few oddball interests myself, so I'm not about to bash anyone for liking something.

But still...... it does get REALLY excessive at times, which is exactly when it gets annoying.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway.

To the OP:  Welcome.  I think you'll find these forums a friendly place.  Well, we try to be, anyway....

^ Lauren Faust, creator of Friendship is Magic is confirmed to be coming to the next one, along with John de Lancie who played Discord in Season 2. Although people might otherwise know him as Q.

A friend of mine told me that the actor for Q played a  part in MLP, I was very confuzzled.

I share Misery's sentiment, I have nothing against the show or its fans but the obsessive people are annoying.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

obsessive fandom of any kind is annoying because... well, it is annoying ;)

Don't mistake my love for sometimes intermingling a meme in my posts as being "endorsing" them. It is merely a habit you pick up when you post too much on the intertubes. And I thought it'd be hilarious to try a bug-fix of that kind with a looping MLP Twilight remix (because let's face it, twilight is the best pony ever!)

Nonsense! ^ This is best pony.

I've yet to find any incredibly obsessive people. Sure, most the people I talk to are bronies, so ponies are a pretty damned common topic, but yeah, have to yet to bump into anyone who lives and breathes ponies.

I feel like we're missing a cult show nowadays, which is why some guys have turned to My Little Pony. Where's another Firefly when you need it? Battlestar Galactica? I mean we don't even have a Star Trek for Pete's sake.

Never ever watched Firefly, so I have no idea of the attraction. I think I've seen a movie on it, I think it was called Serenity or something. I'm probably going miles wide of the mark, though. :P

BsG, only watched a couple episodes, it seems interesting enough and the Cylons look damned cool, but yeah, I still need to get around to sitting down and watching it.

Star Trek, aside from the very original series and most of the movies, I've watched all the other series. TNG, Voyager, DS9...And the newer one, I think it was called Enterprise? Didn't like that one as much as the older series.

I don't think I've seen a Star Trek/ MLP crossover yet. I've seen so many crossovers, the best probably being Fallout. And, hey, just look at the banner of that Fallout link. Diablo 3, right there!
