...I saw this game for pre-order. It had been a while since I came to Arcen's forums (loved AI War). Saw some screenshots, beautiful game.

So where would you recommend I pre-order this? GamersGate or direct from the developer? How are people liking AVWW so far? The screenshots look absolutely amazing, and I like the change to side-scrolling (it used to be isometric unless I am completely mis-remembering.) Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words!  You can get it anywhere you please, it makes no difference to us.  If you want to check out the beta for yourself before paying (always a good idea when possible with any game, since tastes vary), you can check out the demo, which you can get through one of the many mirrors on our site.  Cheers!

The demo seemed very promising, I have to say. It appeals to my love of Roguelikes and Metroidvania games. I think it's a worthy investment to see how it turns out!
