payment options
« on: September 26, 2011, 03:23:17 pm »
Hi there,
just a quick question: Will there be more payment options than credit card/paypal ?
I'll buy it anyway somehow, it's just a bit of a hassle for me since i neither own, need nor want a credit card, same goes for paypal for various reasons.
I'd be willing, for example, to pay up front since i trust this nice little company (<added so my post gets read (<< joking)).

So as i said, buying it anyway so this is certainly no major complaint, it would just be easier for me if i could just send the money to some bank account and receive my code once the cash is there.
There is probably some english term for that kind of transaction I'm not aware of, so sorry for beeing a tad longwinded. :)

Hey there,

It's pretty much down to what FastSpring supports, and I don't think they are likely to take bank transfers.  Accepting payments directly isn't something we really want to do for a variety of reasons, so it's pretty much down to what either FastSpring or other distributors can do.  If GamersGate, Impulse, Steam, etc, are able to take your kind of payment, then when the games hit there you could get it that way.

Hope that helps!

On a somewhat related note... Got an ETA on when AVWW will appear on GamersGate etc? I prefer to have all my keys in one place, without having to chase down an errant e-mail with my key in it

EDIT: So I was wrong, huh. You can ignore this post.

I can't say for sure but I don't think the game will show up on any retailer until 1.0 is released, supposedly sometime early next year.

I didn't have time to talk to the distributors today (or do anything on the game itself, actually), because of the flood of forum posts and so on everywhere.  But, I expect it to be live on GamersGate in a couple of days, and Impulse may do it this week, too, though I'm not sure.  Both those sites tend to carry our betas from very early in, but I've talked to neither just yet.  Steam is less certain, and might not be until 1.0; they've never carried a beta of ours.  But we'll see!

I'd take GamersGate over Steam any day of the week, so that's fine by me! Although it means a couple of days being limited to level 6... Ah well.

Gamersgate is a fantastic site, I fully support that notion. Easy to navigate, great interface, reviews, screenshots, prices and sales.
