Rescue survivor missions too rare?

Recently I have been seeing almost no rescue survivor missions anywhere and I am not sure if this is due to bad luck or what, but this is getting to be a real problem since seek survivor scrolls are also quite rare now. I think replacing the mystery room spawn chances with survivor rescue missions would be a nice addition and make it much easier to get survivors.

I do think it's luck.


This being because I have a bazillion survivors but am still finding these pretty often.   It seems they spawn far more in buildings than in caves?   That's what I've noticed anyway.

Dont forget you can buy find-survivor scrolls.   A good way to get lotsa shards for doing this is to go into the Deep, enter buildings, and squash bats.   So.... many.... bats.   Look for "basement" type rooms, because they've got seriously absurd amounts of bats in them.    If they're Entropy Bats, they're not too tough, but if they're Miasma Bats, be real careful around them...

I feel the same way. I rarely get these kind of missions, and when I do, there's never been another NPC typ than Ice age, so I've actually never unlocked any other kind of character. Ever.

Really?  Huh.   I'm getting them just all over the place.  I have at least 15 or so survivors in mine, and only about 3 or 4 of those came from using a scroll to find them. 


....at least the scrolls are THERE though.  Being stuck with just ice age dudes would get on my nerves fast.

I have a lot of NPC types unlocked, but all from older versions. I have yet to find the new (well, new to me) draconites anywhere. And my only luck with finding NPCs has actually been in caves. Almost nothing in buildings. But yeah, with the scroll at least I can force it when I get desperate.

I was having problems too. I was searching only for the secret missions in each map square, but once I started checking into the larger buildings in just one square instead I haven't had problems finding survivors. (shrug)

So maybe you are just looking in the wrong places like I was? Or more likely just bad luck.
