Nope; it's gotten lost somewhere along the line. In the server window it's called Moara, and that was the name of the server before I updated and restarted. And both of those is actually me; one is on my home computer (the one with 200) and the second is on my parents computer (the one with 8; that one was also shut down more or less right after it was put up). I'll see if my home server stays up for the duration, otherwise I'll yell here again.

Just fixed a bug in the insert-ad stored procedure; I had made a change this morning and accidentally messed up how it handles re-advertisement, but it wouldn't have done much to the initial advertisement.

The server name thing is probably related to it not taking the re-advertisement.

Hmm. Does that bug mean it will always time out 15 minutes after changing states, even if it was set to advertise? Because it just vanished from the server listing again.

Also, on a semi-related note: Would it be possible to keep the advertising option like you keep the connection limits and server name?

I already fixed it server-side, and your server is showing as having been re-advertised less than 5 minutes ago.  Is it not showing?

Sure, I can have it do that if it helps.  I was trying to keep the "broadcast my presence to the internet" a conscious decision each time, but perhaps that's too cautious.

Oh. Now I get it on the server list again, without having changed anything on the server... I'm starting to think the problem is me not getting the server list correctly from time to time.

Hmm, dunno.  Your server automatically sends a re-advertise every 5 minutes.

Found the server name thing: the textbox populates with your world name, but it doesn't write it to your settings (which is what's sent with an advertisement until you actually make some change in the textbox.  So you could delete and retype the last character and it would readvertise after about 5 seconds, and I'll fix the bug for .909.

Keith, FYI, I've checked multiple times throughout the day, and I've never actually seen Toll's server, or anyone else's (if there are any) being advertised.

Mine has been running all the time, more or less. I can see it on the server listing myself right now.

Just checked, and Toll's server is showing up for me. However, earlier today I couldn't see any servers running.

I just checked, and I saw one called "Spanish Location" but I did not see Toll's.

I see my own, but not "Spanish Location". Unless Moara means something in Spanish, I guess.

"SpanishLocation" was last advertised at 3/18/2012 8:46:49 AM (eastern time), "Moara" at 3/18/2012 12:53:50 PM (eastern time).

Edit: as of the time of this post, of course.

On that note, do you still have your server up, Toll?  It should have sent a new advertisement by now, since it's supposed to do it once per 5 minutes.

Yea, the db is not reflecting any further advertisements from it, so either the server stopped sending them (probably due to a bug) or the master-server didn't process them correctly.  Hmm, will have to look into that.

My server's still running, yeah. Haven't made any changes to it all day, due to me not being at home (and server-fiddling is a pain by remote desktop; for some reason, it slows everything down to a crawl).
