Right now, monster distribution across region types seems iffy.
This is most evident with amoebas, espers, and skelebots, which seem to be spammed in almost all the common region types.

Now I understand that this is partially due to a lack of enemy types, so those are being used as "placeholders" until more thematically appropriate for their region enemy types can be created, but I thought it is worth pointing out. Especially considering that one of the common complaints in the game is that those "blobs" and "robots" are freaking everywhere, lessening the feeling of differences between region types.

Any thoughts on this?

For me, I'm more bugged by regions which currently have only one monster type or a few nearly indistinguishable types, like the esper mania going on in abandoned towns.  I complained about this on Mantis, and I *think* X said he was expecting a change within a week or so, but if not, I would really favor a rework on the temporary distribution.

This is just the sort of thing we aim to combat on both sides of the fence in the next weeks.  Please be patient, and both arguments become moot. :)

My only problem is the endless raptors in the lava flats.

Accursed things!  I swear they sit around and have little tea parties while discussing new and inventive ways to piss me off.

Raptor 1: "Why yes, cheerio I think I rather like leaping down upon hapless Glyphbearers while they pass through her, what do you think #2?"
Raptor 2: "Quite right I do good sir *takes a sip of tea* but I also find that mauling them to death with two other companies is an effective strategy as well"
Raptor 3: "We must not forget good sirs, about saving the Queen of England, cheerio fellas, I'm off to build my lava trap".
All raptors: "God Save the Queen!"

Yea, I figured that this was "on the table", but I thought it was important enough to give it its own thread.

Thank you.  :)

Now I need a texture pack or new raptor mob with top hats and monicules or I will be forever dissapointed.

That should just be the official "elite" version of the raptors.

I dont think I'd ever NOT find it entertaining and hilarious.
