Let's Play AVWW2
« on: December 21, 2012, 11:04:29 pm »
Since AVWW2 has officially reached beta, we figured it was alright to do something like this.

In episodes 2 and on, Khadgar has joined and will be in the episodes for the foreseeable future. Less of a guest star and more of an unexpected new star, I suppose! Either way he's absent in the first episode.

Alternate title: Let's Listen to Gemzo rage about bats / squids / green blobs / high caliber spells / low caliber spells / perks / SRF / aiming.

This title was scraped in favor of the current title.

Episode 6: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrcn0OUgbuk

Okay these episodes are quite old, teleporting from getting stuck in walls and hytelist being crazy are both long fixed. I might make the call to stop uploading the old episodes and just record new stuff. Pretty major changes have hit since then...

The video length is quite long, but I've watched part of the first episode so far and it's pretty good.  Video quality is watchable and sound quality is good too.

Read patch notes, interested in joining you (both?) again.

Well of course we'd love to record some more with you. That being said, we only recorded about an hour of footage without you. About a third of that footage would also probably have been cut out even if we did decide to upload it (we were trying to teleport past a bad slice).

Yeah, I definitely want to proceed with this project now that we've started it, but I feel like I kinda started slacking a bit when there weren't any updates for a while...Now that the holidays are over however, Arcen's really on the ball with the patches so we should really get back into it.

You might consider, before the game is complete, it might be worth doing a roundup of the changes for each update and your thoughts rather than a playthrough that is interrupted by each update. That kind of coverage is not nearly as common as let's play, and can be entertaining while adding a very productive informative element. ;)

Actually that's an idea we've been considering for a while. Something I'm definitely interested in doing, so we'll probably go with something along that route. I admit we kind of jumped into this without much forethought which was kind of silly but hopefully we can do a better job of it from here on. Much appreciative of the input.

Maybe something like this but unofficial? :D

Something like that, or like Simon and Lewis's previews of patches and snapshots for Minecraft.
