Stupid question
« on: May 19, 2012, 06:07:44 am »
Hi i have stupid question but how to get tier 2 of continent? It might be a bug but i did many quests from world map i think around 15-20 i also did around 8 tasks from tab "Unlockables to porsue" in "Things you should do" but i still have tier 1 continent. I even have tier 3 spells after that i came to deep dungeon.

Another thing is where is Lieutenant? I entered a region where it should be but there is only plenty of normal buildings and i cant find it. What i should look for? Any special name of building or smth?

You move up a tier now by killing a lieutenant. To find them, go into the region that the map says they are in, and keep going. They are usually something like 5-7 chunks in from the map. Yes, it's a special building, but you'll know it when you see it, it's HUGE! :)

Ok thanks for answer. But the thing is that I went to last chunk of region and I didn't find any special building but ok I will search again then.

The chunk that the building is in should also be purple on the region map, if that helps.   It's generally a small chunk too, once you're in it.

Another "stupid" question.  Is there a reason that you can't use wind shelters on areas that have missions?  I'm sure it will pass in time, but I don't have the spells/scrolls that may be needed to pass time quickly.  I have areas that I just can't get rid of the wind on due to missions existing on all of the non-ocean land spots.

It's because the shelters themselves actually become a mission once placed.  Obviously, it's a "Wind Shelter" type of mission, but missions from Guardian Scrolls of any type all count as "missions" to the game.

It's the same with Seek Survivor scrolls, or Seek Resources;  those produce missions and will not appear on tiles that already have them.

Yeah, it can make things difficult..... but that's part of the design of the world map, and just part of the challenge for the game.

You can do a couple of things here:

First off, if you've gotten both Sunrise and Moonrise on a continent, you can use those to speed up time and force the missions to cycle. Just cast each a couple of times and check the map, and missions will have changed.

Secondly.... you can do the mission that's blocking you.   You CAN do missions that are in wind storms;  they just become nastier.  If it's in the exact spot you need to place a shelter, it's gonna be only 1 tile deep into the storm, so the storm will be at it's lowest possible strength.  Get a character properly setup, and go in there and take care of it, and you'll have cleared the spot out.   This is something you might find yourself doing every now and then, is doing missions in storms, either because you NEED the spot for a shelter, or maybe because it's the only mission currently offering something you need, that you decide is worth the risk.

Otherwise, the best you can do is go do some alternate tasks..... get some ores, or look for secret missions to get extra resources..... until the missions cycle normally.

One way or another, it at least never gets you completely stuck when this happens; it just makes things tougher, but you have different options for what to do about it.
