Thank god! Finally some good on those forums. All the whinefest lately has just helped cement my opinion that the console-kiddies are spoiled beyond belief and wouldn't know good gameplay if it jumped up and bit them in the arse. *havingabadday*

Part of the reason the negative ones are so vocal compared to the positive ones might be that the positive ones are actually PLAYING the game instead of yelling about it :P    I know I sure have been.

......though I agree COMPLETELY with your opinion there on the console bit.

Hey everyone, I wanted to congratulate Arcen Games for creating such a unique and very experimental game!  :D

It is truly different and such a new experience, it has some flaws but overall it is simply addiciting. Hands down to the staff for trying to create something unique! It is not a simply task and is tied to lots of dangers like financial downfalls, complete failure and such.

This game has been loads of fun so far and seeing how the staff updates this game so much and takes the feedback of the community so serious is great. I wish you best of luck in the future!

I created a few threads in other forums to spread the word. I convinced some people to buy it and they were thankful.

Yeah I figured out that it might help you guys. I have my full support on this game.

I read also a lot of reviews and this game has generally good reviews. Most complains are about the visual style but the gameplay and complexity is really enjoyable and lets you forget about the weird asthetics.

Negative feedback stands out because people who like the game usually don't feel the need to say anything. Hence, there seems to be a deluge of criticism. That said, I don't think that the complainers are console kiddies because thus far their complaints have been legitimate. Whiny kids would be more like "OMG THIS SLIME TOAKES FOREVER TO KILL WHY DO I NOT JUST GET GUNS THIS GAME SUKS".
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

Feedback is useful, but very often the feedback, while well worded, have been in the ways of "Hey, I don't like this. Change it for me." Not everyone plays a rogue in WoW because they don't like the playstyle, but you don't hear people whining about it? Not everyone flies Minmatar in EVE for the same reason.

If there's a mission type you don't like in AVWW then don't play it. Don't whine "I paid for it!" as some kind of justification that 100% of the game have to be tailored to exactly your taste. The graphics style is hit and miss. Either you like it, or you don't. Some areas are better than others (some of the green crystal caves are very rough on distinguishing stuff  in the background). What people seem to request is essentially a re-write of the entire graphics engine, which just isn't feasible short of a conversion similar to pre 4.0 AI:War to the Unity version. There's criticism, but it's often outrageous adn the amount of the same whines showing up all the time makes me insane. There are already threads dealing with those issues, post in them instead of making new ones?

I guess my outburst is a combination of frustration with the repeated mess of the forums, entitled gamers and a really shitty real life situation that is grating my brain.
