Well I haven't beaten the game in a while so I don't know for sure, but the menu says that the game ending cutscene is not done? Is that something that needs doing really soon?

Given that the game comes out on Monday, yes. Everything that is not done by definition needs doing really soon.

Heh. I'm kind of curious if its going to be an animated cutscene, still scenes, or what. The suspense!

It's mainly a matter of tying up the story, which is being fleshed out better in the boss dialogue as we speak anyhow. There's a cool story here, but a lot of it was buried before.

Is there going to be more reason to go out and actually kill the henchmen? Right now (or at least the last time I finished the game) the encouraged path is to basically rush the tower once you can get to the oblivion crystal.

Not really; that's meant as a bonus feature so to speak. Though now that you mention it... it might be cool to have them drop perk tokens when you kill them once and for all.
