Finally found some puzzle rooms.....

Ok, so, quite a good number of hours into the game (though I'm still on the first continent, hah), finally found a couple of puzzle rooms.

The first one I did wasnt too tough, though getting the things to accurately change can be a little annoying.

And then I ran into this:     


Er..... Yeah, not really sure how to do that one.   It seems like a totally silly amount of accuracy would be necessary here...... I did the first one with the leaf whip or whatever it's called.    But that wasnt anything like this second one.


Is there any better way to go about these?



Edit:     Well, I'll have to wait a little while to attempt it again anyway.   I appear to have beaten the controller into oblivion (it seriously had it coming.  Whoever designed that abomination should be fired and then banished to Jupiter).

Khadgar's PUZZLE ROOM TIPS v1.009 (because I'm 2 changes ahead)

• Try bat form! It helps you line up your shots.
• Use leafy whip and/or miasma whip to change all the inside orbs to the same color.
• Use a very small spell like forest rage, plasma bolt, or similar to change the outside orbs to the same color.
• Either red OR blue works, just pick the one you like the most.
• Don't cast cast summon rhino on top of all the orbs, the rhino isn't very smart.

I've found it helps to switch to bat form, then find the "height" above the orbs where my whip spell hits a certain row of orbs. Then I float left to right focusing on only that row. Once I'm done, I carriage return like a typewriter, move up a column, and start over. It doesn't take very long.

Aha, thanks, those sound like good tips.   It never occurred to me to try using the bat form for this.... that sounds like it should be MUCH less frustrating for some parts.   That should help immensely.
