How do I incinerate old spellgems. Like what the hell do I click?

EDIT:I'm standing right by the statue that says it incinerates old spellgems but I have no idea how to do just that.

On the strategic screen (see attachment) it says:
Stock piled food: 100
Food consumed by survivors: 45
Remaining stockpiled food: 105

Is this normal? Later in the game on turn 3 this numbers did add up (another line with food generated was present).

Is there way to get out of the situation on the picture attached? If no, is the poison pill the only option? What is the death penalty?

Also note, that before you actually jump down there is no way to see how deep the cavern is. Or is there?

The bindings screen says the the key is V (which works). I'm guessing this dialogue is from before when the default binding were different?

That doesn't look like it's supposed to be that way.

To answer your question... yeah, unfortunately, poison pill looks to be the best option. There are no significant death penalties, only having to travel back to where you are.

There's a line there that says that your survivors found some food during a patrol.

Yeah that's from earlier in the alpha when the bindings were different. The strategic overview is also in the menu of things to do when you try to access a tile.

In your AVWW2 folder (c:/Program Files (x86)*/Valley2/RuntimeData/Worlds) there will be a bunch of folders that contain your worlds. Place the folder that corresponds to the world that that picture was taken in (make sure to move your character to the spot beforehand) in a zip and upload it.


*This is on a 64-bit Windows 7 OS. On 32-bit it should just be plain "Program Files" and I'm not sure where it is on Mac.

Now another question: is it supposed to be like this, that the tile the hero is currently on IS purified, but the 3 adjacent tiles not only not purified but also can't be walked on by the hero? Is this tile some kind of a dead end that does not allow further expansion?
