not sure how I feel about the new relative system, its made levelling feel much less rewarding.. I know technically it plays the same, but seeing the numbers get bigger is important!

This is something I'm worried about as well. I haven't had much time to play since the level equalizing patch hit, so I don't know how it feels for me yet, but this sounds like it could be an issue. The problem may just be that there's not enough in the way of other rewards for leveling up as of yet. Once new levels start to lead to new areas, enemies, spells, items, etc. then it may not be so important to feel like you're making numbers bigger.

New levels already do seed a lot of that sort of thing, just not in much density.  But yeah, this is meant to have exploration and cool new abilities as the primary driver, rather than stats grinding.
