Correction: We Need a Mount Spell

I realized after playing multiplayer that the summon rhino spell has some amazing potential. If we had another summon spell that could function like Yoshi from Super Mario then it could give some really awesome possibilities.

A water pony you can ride to avoid acid damage?
A light pony that emits light?
An earth pony that has more hit points?

There's a lot of things which could be accomplished with ponies.

Rid-able mounts in the spirit of Donkey Kong Country could be pretty fun, but I have no idea how you'd fit something like that in this game.  Maybe if they were time limited, and killed enemies with one hit.  Or maybe not.

Why couldn't they do rhino damage and also be time limited?

(Honestly, this isn't a totally unserious post. I really love the rhino idea and would like to see it expanded).

One: The ponies MUST improve framerates.

Two: If I can't hit it in the head to make it stick out it's tongue, I'm not interested.

I don't have a problem with fans of My Little Pony, but I don't enjoy the show at all, and know that many feel the same way; I wouldn't appreciate its inclusion as an aspect of vanilla gameplay.

However, due to the new texture pack functionality, I think it should be entirely possible for somebody to simply replace the rhino model with a pony; that would allow for lots of fun possibilities.

I was just thinking that we have summon spells and a summonable mount would be amazing, particularly if the mount had certain effects. Maybe even summonable familiars to boost magic power, that sort of thing.

......ah geez, I was hoping to NOT see this on this forum. 

Why, why, WHY must everything eventually have these strange ponies or whatever they are stuffed into it?   I think I've seen this crop up on almost every forum I've been to, and I do alot of forum-going.


.....wait, no, dont answer that question.   I dont think I want to know why.


I dont have problems with people having interests in stuff like that, but good grief, these pop up EVERYWHERE.

Ok, for a bit of background, the MLP thing is actually a joke from when the game was in beta.

To sum it up, there was a bug in the game that reduced framerates drastically, and, as it turned out, the playing of videos in the background actually made the Framerates go up on some computers! The videos being played by some were My Little Ponies. So, that is the origin of this thread.
