Finally got my Aquaurgists Tower scroll on my second continent so I can start to take care of the windstorms and I need 10 cedar logs. Easy I thought and went out to find some after over an hours searching I end up with 7 although I did get 20 walnuts. I'm limited in regions to search due to the windstorms and found no cedar logs in any ice age areas or grasslands the seven I managed to find where all in the same abandoned town region.

Is there any reason we can't just get wood from all trees to help with construction?

I think it's ice age thawing, not ice age, that holds cedar. And it should be plentiful enough there so that you can get a few in a windstorm.

Oh, wait, wrong way around. It's not thawing, it's ice age. Sorry. But still, find an ice age wood, and you should be set for cedar logs.

Even with windstorms you can still normally just quickly enter forests with windstorms in kill the nearby trees and run out without really taking much risk, considering that the monsters are now the same tier and health drain will only kill you slowly, thus even deep within the windstorm you can still get cedar logs. Yeah, entering windstorms is only really truly dangerous if you're underprepared or planning on spending a very long time there. No reason you can't nip in to a stormy ice age, pick off some trees at the fringes, then gtfo of dodge.

Tried all ice age areas and no cedar trees also tried windstorm areas and still no luck. Very odd guess I'll just have to keep searching thanks for all the tips.

You did check the ice age thawing areas right? They're diffrent from Ice age.

Cedar is in ice age, not thawing. Just try some ice age woods, and you should find some before too long.

Cheers guys turns out I only had 3 actual ice age regions and all the rest were thawing. Finally found enough cedar next job pushing back the wind.
