a friend recently got me involved in League of Legends, and not to turn AVWW into every other game out there, the thought crossed my mind, that it would be nice to have different 'builds' for glyph bearers.
Just off the top of my head, perhaps a support role, for those who like the battles and will be supporting their minions, or npc members in battle. Or a melee tank, where the spells are close up and support more stamina, or health for the player, or a ranged glyph bearer that has long range spells.
My thought is that it allows for customization of the player character, and like the other traits perhaps it can be passed on to the next npc when a glyph bearer dies.
Right now there really doesn't seem to be enough difference in the npc's to make a difference in the way the character or the game is played. Or how the player has a way to change the way they choose to play. Customization along the lines of types, ranged, melee, tank, support (and stealth?) would make for wonderfully different ways to play the same game in different ways, depending on the build chosen by the player.
I think it would increase the broader appeal of reaching different kinds of players. And of course done in the Arcen way of making the game uniquely different than what is already out there.
