New Overlord: Angry Baby

I. E. it's an angry baby wot is big

Giant angry baby makes me think of that ridiculous hidden boss (well originally hidden) in Zombies Ate My Neighbors. One of my favorite games growing up incidentally, and one I never could fully complete.

I'm still hung up on not exploring towns. I feel it hurts immersion. That little top down view is kind of dissapointing. But I guess it helps with the strategy elements.  Just not really sold on it, but Ill get over it.

There are plenty of other towns to explore, just not the ones you build yourself. Think of this as a minigame. We let you explore the towns it would be fun and interesting to explore.

I think most people are used to this genre allowing you to search the town and rob it blind.  I don't see any problems with not being able to explore an allied town, the only reason to explore a town is to find the useful shops and such, and if I can access those without exploring these few locales, i trust that it'll work.

I'm really excited for the beta.  And i like the art style.
A programmer had a problem. She thought to herself, "I know, I'll solve it with threads!". has Now problems. two she.

Cannot. Wait for this, especially if it gets expanded just as much (and often!) as AI War does.

Yep, we're still looking good for the 26th!  Still finishing up some various last polish stuff prior to beta being ready, and have still been adding more content and such, but it's coming on well!  The trailer is pretty much done as well, we're just holding that until the day of since it says "Available now." :)

It's always the last few days that seem the longest.

:)

Will be nice on Monday to see it up close.

I consider the 30+ hours I first spent with AI War back in October/November 2009 to be amongst the most enjoyable and memorable gaming experiences of my life.

AI War is a beautifully crafted game and I look forward to immersing myself in A Valley Without Wind. Hurry up, Monday, and thank you, Arcen Games!

The one thing I don't like about the date is that it's a Monday so instead of getting a weekend to play the game like mad before going back to work I get it with four work days left before I can really play a lot of it.
