I'm rather enjoying the new blurred gem tier rarity stuff but now find myself drawn to regions in the 8-10, 18-20, etc. ranges almost exclusively when looking for new gems. I'll occasionally stumble into a 21 or 22; or go for a 16 or 17 and head down a few levels in caves, but nonetheless it seems the most sensible course is to stick to the three level range.
That said, it's pretty good the way it is.
So, as a talking point only right now, is there any merit in a slight additional blurring:
