AVWW Post-Release 1.061 "Release Candidate 8" Released!

This one is the third release candidate of the day, and hopefully the last release prior to the official 1.1 version.

There were a couple of more performance issues still present in the prior RC version that we've now fixed, but beyond that all other issues that we've deemed important enough to go into 1.1 have been taken care of.

That said, we're still going to be cautious and give it overnight to let anyone find any issues there might be -- if you find anything, please do let us know!  If there's something there, we obviously want to know about it; but of course our fingers are crossed that we can go ahead and put 1.1 to bed, because we're itching to get working on new features for 1.2.

This is a standard update that you can download through the in-game updater itself, if you already have 0.500 or later. When you launch the game, you'll see the notice of the update having been found if you're connected to the Internet at the time.  If you don't have 0.500 or later, you can download that here.

I cam across this room at the top of a boss tower mission.  It was the final/exit room, but should a large space at the top have been inaccessible? (pic)

I also came across something I've been seeing a bit.  In the destroy vortex mission staging area, if there are linens/laundry hanging, they don't always drop, and go to the upper left of the minimap as an orange unreachable dot. (no pic)

The top of that room should be inaccessible, but all I see up there is lights, which is ok. Am I missing something?

Question: Why exactly are they designed in this manner? They sure confused me the first time i encountered them, and also that top section is just a waste of space imo...
I'm probably typing this on my phone. Sorry if it seems short or disjointed :(

That room wasn't mine, so I can't speak to the why. But, I'll say that I like some rooms that have a cool effect in the minimap even if they have space that is "wasted".

I would say they are like Easter Eggs for those who notice and look at the mini-map :P

If the room is actually underground, it won't be a window. Many buildings have basements as well as higher floors, and obviously windows don't work in basements. :)

Well, technically speaking, windows underground would work, you would just get a great scenic view of a bunch of dirt. :D
