So don't play it!  :)

That's valid, but when the game is still in a balancing and pre-release testing state I'd rather people give feedback when they don't like a thing. As it stands, I surely won't ever play one of these missions again, yes. Because the risk vs. reward is far out of balance. As a secret mission type, I'll be getting 1 or 2 things for my trouble. And yet this mission is vastly more likely to kill off my character than anything else in the game currently. Or to make me waste an extremely rare scroll. (assuming the scroll even works)

On that subject, why in the world does an elusion scroll cost 400 mana?

It's definitely valid to comment, that's true.  In terms of elusion scroll mana costs, that's a number that got missed when the amounts were dropped, I'll fix it, thanks.

You can get glyph transplant scrolls in great abundance in forest stashes, by the way.  And then take a character you don't care about into the lava escape missions, and no worries if you die.  It's the fastest way to beat certain kinds of missions, and it's a really different form of gameplay.  And it's one that we knew point blank would be something that a lot of our customers wouldn't like -- but that we also knew a minority has been asking for since last summer.  So we put it in, and made it completely optional, as we'd always promised.

X4000, it was the same for me, building and "un building" computers was one of my hobby as a kid too :)

My motherboard fried a couple years ago in the middle of a LAN party :/ I was so annoyed ! Lol
And just the same, well, my drives were IDE and my computer kept seeing them as SATA actually ... Weird enough, I went to buy new IDE cables and everything worked wonder after that... I never really quite understood why :/

Though, it's at that time that I decided that computer was an inexact science !!! With lots of randomness !

My ram fried too one day and my computer kept giving random errors, I formatted a couple times, reinstalled everything,... Did it again and each time I was rebooting I had a different error ! I was so frustrated before I understood that my ram was the problem ! Lol

I've never had any course in computers whatsoever to learn, I just learned by myself and by doing mistakes, learned a lot but what a huge loss of time :/ lol

I guess I will try for once to use Mantis..  :D

But seeing as theres only like 30 people on Mantis... i have the looming feeling you get minority opinions on some of the less critical issues. Which is why I prefer the forum... anyway ;)

There's a self-defeating argument if ever there was one!  :)

Number of users on mantis: 576.

Number of unique votes on gameplay issues at most 30, often less than 10.

Mantis is a great tool for bugtracking, but suggestions are not bugs you can't "fix" a suggestion, it needs to be shaped, prodded and formed to be something of value, it needs polls and input, statistics, thoughts and many pages of comments. I want Input on suggestions to shape them or input into a suggestion to shape it.

When i put something on Mantis, its like reducing a river to a single binary choice. People can comment, yes. But they can't shape the suggestion. The suggestion always stands unchanging on top.

Agreed. Since editing the OP on Mantis is rather obnoxious, when I have a new idea that is rather complicated and I want some feedback or details ironed out, I will post the idea on the forums first, and after discussion, I then post the more fleshed out version of the idea on Mantis.

Agreed as well.  And when there is something that shows up on mantis, and I am not sure about it, I suggest that a forum topic be made about it for further discussion.

But -- if it doesn't eventually go in mantis, it doesn't get done, most of the time.  Mantis is the only place we look for actual to-do items, 90% of the time, because just keeping track of that is hard enough.
