Okay, I can confirm the enchant duplicates from containers is not a consistent thing. I just got another one of the one I had equipped. So no worries there.

Registered, started playing obsessively today. Great game. But yeah... After enough play to earn 9 enchants from containers, and having them all be Minor Resiliant Form, I think something's wrong with the RNG even if it does give something else on occasion :P

Just got the chance to play again, and my first three enchants were all pleasantly different and quite cool.  You've got the right workings for some serious loot-addiction playing here...

On a related note... Is there a list somewhere with the settlers in a settlement?

Yeah, it's in the Continent status on the planning window.  But it only shows for the first settlement on your current continent.  The other settlements, if it's an old world, are ignored for all gameplay purposes.

Huh. Interesting. That list also shows the settlers in the settlement on the first continent, not the second (where I am now). I'll append the world-file to the mantis issue I made earlier.

Just to check, since it doesn't seem they do that anymore... Are missions supposed to ever "time out" after X turns/missions completed anymore? Or is that functionality removed?

The concept of turns was removed quite a while ago.  Missions are planned to time out after a certain amount of contiguous gametime, though -- the day/night cycle, in other words.  So using sunrise and nightfall would cycle them more quickly, but otherwise they just last a certain amount of time and then refresh.  But I want to have some side missions in there before enabling that.  If you're actually in a mission there would never be a timer in the sense that the mission might disappear while you are in it.  But this would provide more of a sense of life to the continent, and also would make it so that undesirable missions that you don't do for whatever reason don't stick around forever.

Just installing the latest update right now. In case it's useful, I thought I'd note that it started hanging and reporting not responding on "Extracting compressed[...]n\GameEntityTypeDataExternalConfiguration.dat"

Edit: vvvv Darn, I was afraid it was something like that.

It always stops responding on the last file, no matter what the last file is. Could be that it's doing some post-update CRC-checks or something to make sure the update was good?

It actually does CRC checks on the zip files before opening them.  I think what it is doing is checking with windows and registering itself as an uninstaller.  Any interaction with Programs & Features is really slow, I think.  But I can't be sure that's what it's doing.  At any rate, it is likely already done with the update, and you can go ahead and play.  It's just fiddling around in the background, heh.

Hmmm it does identify as 0.573 when I start it up, although I'm a little leery of loading my world under these conditions without first backing it up, and since world backups also take a while, I'm worried about doing that while I'm still waiting on the installer to tell me it's done. Said installer is still running since I posted earlier, by the way...

Edit: I guess I could just manually back up the world folder and not be so worried about it. Derp!

Edit edit: It just finished! 26 minutes, I think that's a new record! :P

Wow, that's really crazy.  I really don't know why it would be doing that!

You guys mentioned a profit quota for your staff. Here's an idea: any plans for releasing the AVWW soundtrack for money (+maybe bonus songs?) Some of the tracks stand out on their own. Desert.ogg and SnowyWoodlands.ogg give me chills every time.

The soundtrack rights actually remain with Pablo, the composer, and he does tend to sell the soundtracks on iTunes and Amazon MP3.  By themselves they don't add up to what we'd need, though.
