I'd love to have that one PM'd, too.  :P

Just tried to to you both but I don't think it worked. Let's try that again.

1. Whats the beta without bugs.... couldn't find many of these so far ;)

What? You missed the bugbash seance that was held over the weekend? Well, now you know it was a great success! But boy is my throat tired from all that humming and ahhhing.

2. Am I only one that thinks that difference between dark and light areas is to large - high contrast differences are bad for long playing. This maybe amplified by ice climate also.

Before I started using EMIT LIGHT scrolls, I thought so too.

5. Connected to previous one - that warp scrolls for free amount - I vote for muuch more since they seem to be very useful and atm. seem like forced items to mass produce :D

Two things:

1. You can make more!

2. Chris said (in a pre-Mantis exchange) that he's planning on having ways to get out of the tops of buildings and bottoms of dungeons faster, which would obviate one desire for more warp scrolls.

You get 2 dispersia dust at the start, so that's 20 warp scrolls right there plus the 4 you get as standard. The description of a gem or its dust tells you where to get more of it, if you're planning a trip to a cave system it's worth taking that into account.

From what I can see dispersia dust makes only warp scrolls.. so I'll produce them before long underground treks.

As for the light thing - the emit light scroll is actually main issue here. It makes you light very brightly while areas around that light can be very dark which creates large contrast difference. And since both minimap and area map is on left and right side of screen it's near dark areas.
It's actually much better for me to explore in the dark if there is nothing dangerous like bosses around. And my monitor is already set to quite dark in general.
Part of this maybe fact of playing on 16:10 wide screen which gives very wide field of view so emit light doesn't cover whole screen or some magical dynamic contrast thing from my LCD.

Thanks to all bug hunters for their hard work :)

Well for now that's all that can be made from dispersia dust but in the future there will be more things.

On the emit light scroll, this has never effected me since I play at 1024x768 so it completely fills my screen with light. You could make a post on mantis about this but I figure it is probably working as intended, so I don't know what would be done.

I'm on a widescreen, and I don't mind the contrast. I think it looks kinda cool, actually.

I think it'll be possible to just copy and paste the save file, wherever it's located.  Or, alternatively, if the serial keys are inputted similar to how AI war does it, there'll be no problem.

Correct, if you play the demo now, you can return to the same world once you buy the key. Nothing is lost.

This is good. Almost 2 hours and I haven't left the first area I started exploring - it's so big! Those skelebot dwarves are like a goddam horror movie.

Ha! They can be pretty nasty. They were worse when they were first introduced in Alpha. They used to one-shot kill you even at the same level. :-)

Of course, at that point in time, so did everything else in the game.  Heh.

Alright, I'm heading down some caverns to try and clear out some monsters guarding a mineral vein.  How deep would these guys be?  I've gone down into deeper caverns 3 times now I think (getting a whole new map/cave system each time).  Are the monsters on the bottom no matter where that would be, or could they be anywhere in the cave system?
