The skies changed a bit ago, and we changed how the lighting was done -- also, in the ice age areas and a few other areas, we've now got some better textures for the ground backgrounds, too.  Not huge changes, but the effect does improve it! :)

Are the illari capable of opening pockets in space/time? Or is just that they can keep them open?

On another note, I'm having issues submitting to mantis. Is it possible my idea is too long? It keeps asking me if I have already submitted it twice by accident but it never gets uploaded.

Not sure the nature of the question.  Most of those were already there from the catacylsm, and don't really relate to the Ilari.  If you're talking about warp gates.

Usually it means you took too long typing your ticket.  Mantis has a really stupid timeout system on that, so make sure you copy your submission and then if it fails, just hit back, refresh, paste it in, and it will succeed.

Mantis's timeout system (complete with somehow preventing my browser from remembering what I typed if I hit the back button) rides the same bus as tab-targeting ;)

Goodness I've lost so much time to that thing... I normally remember to just type whatever it is in a separate application and paste it in, but sometimes I forget.  And usually when I forget; whammo, "I'm sure it will come out much better if you just type it again, dearie".

I type it in mantis, but then always copy it to the clipboard just in case.  1 time out of 8 or so, it loses my stuff and I just paste it back in.   It definitely rides that bus.

We use Mantis at my work, and all the developers have learned to do this as well. It's just second nature now.

It's the main thing I don't like about that system.

If the illari aren't able to open pockets in time/space then it doesn't really matter. I was trying to think of spells that could relate to it if it was possible.

Something I was also thinking about was being able to align (make a pact) with two of the illari in particular (there is one for each element right?) and that would effect various things such as the effect of certain spells or perhaps passive bonuses. It's something I hinted at a little in my latest spell idea on mantis. (when I say the colour of the spell is dependant on the colour of the illari)

Possibly you could align with the dark illari too and they would grant their power to you in combat. Your spells and perhaps passive bonuses changing based on your two specific illari guardians.

It's very rough around the edges. I'll think about it some more.

Compared to some things I've seen, Mantis timeout issues are relatively minor.

Our material/maintenance management system at work, recently, had an issue where it was issuing database queries of around 1GB every time I did a specific thing. That specific thing being the core of my job...

Surprisingly enough, things got far far far faster once they fixed that one!

Oh yea, mantis in general is great.  It has a far better "that really helps me do my job" to "what on earth just happened here?" ratio than, for instance, our game engine's foundation (Unity) :)  Which in turn isn't all that bad compared to some stuff I've run into in previous work.

We've used Mantis, Bugzilla and JIRA - the former two are both pretty quality; the latter is certainly the best but carries a cost to match: licencing is only per-user.

Yeah, I don't mind paying for something, but I also can't do the whole "per user" thing, which restricts it only for internal use scenarios.
