You could just copy over your settings.dat file, and that should get your achievements as well.  I only got 53.  :'(

Where is the settings.dat file? I could only find a .bak file.

It should be in the RuntimeData folder, right next to the settings.bak file, IIRC.

Aha, there it is, disguising itself as a VCD file even though its a .dat file. Clever girl...

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure if I missed a post which explains this but: how exactly do I register my AVWW on Steam?

Take the license key from your email from when you bought AVWW and put it into the box when activating a game on steam.

Ugh, I didn't even think that would work because I thought it wouldn't match the usual key pattern required by Steam. Guess I should've just tried ...

Well, thanks for the quick reply Aklyon!

Not matching the pattern is why it took so long (along with a generous application of Valve Time)

I got so fed up of waiting for Steam to  allow my  key  to be accepted and which was purchased on the understanding that we would be able to  redeem it on Steam I ended up purchasing a second copy.  My question is, can I pass my original key onto a friend seeing as it is now spare?  (I'll create a sprarate thread to ask this question as well.  :)

I can't speak for Arcen, but I can't see any reason that that wouldn't be okay. Each key has still been paid for and is being used by the person who is intended to receive it.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.
