Fleets Created from Nothing and Disappearing Into Nothing
« on: April 24, 2014, 09:34:34 PM »
I have no idea what's going on.  I am utterly confused.

All I can figure is that both the Skylaxians and the Evucks have time travel technology from the future and teleport their forces through time, including into and out of the past.

Not the best video showing what's going on, but these things take forever to upload.  Got another one that's being converted (and watermarked) that I'll throw on dropbox.  This one is 3 minutes, that one is almost 11.

Basically, each planet reports that it only has 3 flagships and ~20k defensive strength, but that's enough to utterly repel an invading force of 100k and take zero losses.  Oh, and all of those killed ships are instantly resurrected at their home planet and go on the attack immediately.

And oh yeah.  The chart that shows fleet strength over time?  Inconsistent.  One minute it'll say that the Evucks had 1.5m strength 10 years ago, a few months later their strength was only 200k during the same period.  The only constant is that the Skylaxian fleet was the dominant force in the galaxy until they conquered their 7th planet, at which point their fleet evaporated into nothing trying to take the Evucks out (who only had 200k worth of fleet strength at the time).

Once after a save/load I managed to catch the Evuckian homeworld with a million fleet sitting on it, thought I hit F12 for a screenshot, but apparently it didn't register.
Edit: AH HA, caught it again, this time just after being attacked (and murdered) by assassins.

Evuck homeworld has 1.5m fleetstrength that it did not have a game-year ago.  They then proceed to throw it at a planet.

And a few game-months later, it's gone.

Here's a save at the start of assassin combat.  I'm uploading now prior to testing to see if what I screenshot reproduces, just in case the save/load process inadvertently alters the file.
Edit: Did repro.  Caught it on camera.  Converting and uploading that now too.

This one has voice, I wasn't able to have my mic on previously (too much background noise).

Also, you can let the game run without doing any actions and you can watch the Skylaxians and Evucks just duke it out forever.  They've been at it for thirty years without a single planet (other than the Hydral homeworld) changing hands.
