Typing of the Dead - Network => Game Lag
« on: January 04, 2010, 12:47:21 pm »
This would be a question for those who know about the game, and those who have tried the network feature of the game out (I doubt many of you have).

I am trying to play the game via network with a friend (SP is fine), where during the game it seems to compensate for network (100ms) in return for perfect sync, which results in ~one frame per second and a similar timescale, and therefore is absolutely unplayable.

Anyone know anything at all in how to allow for normal network play with Typing of the Dead non-physically (not decreasing latency, not obtaining new equipment/etc.)?  I know it's an old game, so that probably is the issue here--I'll be surprised if anyone here knows about the game, let alone the issue here.

Not sure what to recommend regarding your issue, but I've at least heard of the arcade game. What a peculiar game. :P

Well oddly, SEGA decided to release it on the PC.  =\
