Ha. My quality of life has gone up a lot with that philosophy. Enjoy things fpr what.they are, not what.they should.be.
Life is short. Have fun.

Yea, pretty much.  Aspiration is necessary, but should not sour one's daily food.

Bioshock is awesome!  One of the best games ever made in my opinion, and certainly among the best written.  Ken Levine is head and shoulders above writers at studios like Bioware and Blizzard.
Someone didn't play System Shock. Bioshock is but a pale shadow of its predecessors SS1 and 2.

UPDATE:  I have repurchased VoTM so this offer no longer stands.

Concerning the Bioshock series, I am a big fan of the sometimes implicit and sometimes explicit critiques of modern science that undergird the stories in Bioshock 1 and Infinite.  This is what attracts me to them.  The stories are less moral in the conventional sense of the term and take seriously the problem that human enlightenment poses to morality.

Someone didn't read the thread, in which enjoying things rather then comparing them to others increases net enjoyment.

I still agree with Moonshine. It is disgraceful for a successor to fall short of its predecessor, and be considered great only because it better suits the times (because FANCY GRAPHICS YAY). Shamefully overrated, y'all!

I absolutely think System Shock was a far superiour game to Bioshock, and still is to this day. That doesn't prevent anyone else from enjoying Bioshock.
