Design Doc still references space platforms
« on: September 23, 2016, 10:15:26 PM »
Specifically, "Modular" ships need to go - point 4.

Bear in mind that Space Platforms themselves are somewhat modular in nature, but they are designed directly on the battlefield rather than in a submenu.
Those also have no sort of predefined presets or saved preferences, because they are a lot more like citybuilding than customizing a ship.
But at any rate, some of the desire for building custom things ought to be fulfilled by space platforms, is the main point.  And they don’t have the downsides of being fiddly or shoved in a subscreen.

Figured Chris might want to prune.
